Rhett Junker - Founder, Fight Rite Gym

Rhett has been Training in the Martial Arts for 31 years, now teaching for 20 years. Rhett originally began training in Judo at age 10 but soon moved on to Tae Kwon Do which he stayed with until he was 17. At 17 he joined the Australian Regular Army and after basic training was posted to Melbourne. After searching the entire city Rhett found Mr. Bob Jones, the Founder of Zen Do Kai, who he began to train with and 25 years later is still a student of and Chief Instructor for Zen Do Kai in NSW.

Bob Jones was first a notorious street fighter and changed the face of Australian Martial Arts by making Zen Do Kai- REAL. After starting Zen Do Kai, Bob Jones had all his instructors working as Bouncers and Bodyguards in his Global Security company. So his instructors were out every weekend actually putting to work the skills they were taught.

Rhett began his Security career at age 17 and worked in clubs and pubs all over Australia with his final 2 years on the door in Kings Cross, he also Body guarded many stars and was the NSW Representative in charge of choosing the Gladiators and contestants for the popular 'Gladiator' TV show.

Bob Jones then introduced Kickboxing and later Muay Thai Boxing to Australia. Rhett discharged from the Army to teach full time.

During his military career Rhett was posted all over Australia and was able to learn from many strong Martial Artists. Most of these men were students of Mr. Bob Jones.

Rhett has trained with many Martial artists; Eric Paulson, Habby Heske, a couple of years ago he went to Serbia & trained in Systema - the Russian Martial Art.

Rhett has trained many strong fighters & champions:

Greg Foley, World Amateur & Professional Champion
Reinhard Badato, Damien Thornton
and many Australian & State Champions

7th Degree Blackbelt Zen Do Kai - Kyoshi
Level 7 Instructor BJC Muay Thai
1st Level BJC Kali Escrima Instructor
